There was a shocking release in WWE this morning as NXT backstage interviewer McKenzie Mitchell is no longer with the company.
McKenzie Mitchell took to social media this morning to announce the news that she was released by WWE this morning, tweeting out:
“Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for @wwenxt (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in “when door closes, another opens.” http://headlinebymm.com,” McKenzie Mitchell said in a post.
For those unaware, Mitchell is the wife of NXT commentator Vic Joseph, making her release this morning even more surprising.
Prior to her run in WWE NXT, Mitchell was a backstage interviewer for a number of years in IMPACT Wrestling. If Mitchell intends to stay in wrestling, it’s surely hard to imagine any company not being interested in her services.
Meanwhile, stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
